The instruction that keeps you in the species

AI Trader with Stop Loss

If it is not on the ticket, it is not a stop. It is a hope with a name.

Context, not a slogan

Stop-loss is the one risk word retail already knows, which means it is the one vendors most like to print as a badge. OpenFidex treats a stop as something you attach and sign. After that, a venue mechanism may honor it. That is a lot of verbs, and every one of them can fail independently.

The AI can remind you the field is empty. It should not move a stop around overnight because it “still believes.” Belief is not a privilege we grant to models.

A practical sequence

Use this as a checklist. None of it is a trading recommendation.

1

Place it when you enter

Adding it later is how people add it never.

2

Put it where the thesis dies, not where it tickles

A stop inside normal noise is a fee machine. A stop beyond your pain is a diary.

3

Assume gaps

Especially on oil, earnings names, and anything you held through a pause. See those URLs.

4

Do not widen it with a highlight

If the idea needs more room after you were wrong, you are negotiating with the market. The market does not negotiate.

Controls that matter for this style

Not a helmet

A stop can slip. Size like it can slip.

Take-profit is a different furniture piece

Do not mash them into one “risk widget” essay. That is why two URLs exist.

AI empty-field nag is welcome

AI “I moved your stop” is not this product.

Mental stops are fanfic

Write them into the mechanism or admit you are discretionary and size smaller.

Questions this page actually answers

Do you guarantee stop fills at the line?

No. No honest venue does in every regime. Anyone who guarantees it is selling a feeling.

Can I trail automatically?

Only if a trailing instruction exists and you understand who is allowed to amend it. Do not assume a cute UI verb.

Should every ticket have a stop?

If you cannot explain why not, then yes. Spot long-term holders argue otherwise — and they still need a story.

What if the UI hid the field?

Then the UI failed this page. Do not sign a derivative naked because a layout was shy.

Does OpenFidex hold my funds or place trades for me?

No. OpenFidex is a non-custodial software interface. A wallet is created in your browser, you keep the keys, and you cryptographically sign every order before it reaches a third-party venue such as Hyperliquid. The software does not take custody of assets and does not submit transactions unless you sign them.
